BBC Radio 1 bosses are reportedly ‘livid’ with presenter Nick Grimshaw.
The DJ lost his voice after partying with celebrity friends in Istanbul over the weekend. Pictures were posted on Instagram, by ‘Grimmy’ himself it would appear, living-it-up and enjoying the celebrity lifestyle. On Monday morning, however, he had lost of voice and was unable to present the Breakfast Show. The producers had to quickly pull in Scott Mills to replace Nick Grimshaw in announcing the line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
Call me cynical but were the producers really livid? Their poster-boy is pictured all over the internet, he causes a storm and people tune in to find out what is happening, who is replacing him, when he’ll be back and what the outcome will be. Sounds like pretty good PR to me.
